Now to the movie at hand: 

Goodfellas is a very popular mob movie with many and is often on one of our TV channels throughout the year. It has one of my most favourite actors - Mr Robert Deniro - my other most favourite actor is Mr. Al Pacino of Godfather fame (we have an ENG-ITA version of the Godfather 1080p H.264 Trilogy coming soon we hope)

Goodfellas has some troubling scenes depicting violence that is not usually 
seen so graphically played out in movies by normal men. 

Martin Scorsese the movie Director says (in the supplementary video included on the bluray disc) that he believes that he is displaying "what is an evil in us" through this movie. Of course he cannot speak for all men in this regard or in this manner I submit. 

Men who have brutal strength and have good character are to be envied as the best men can be - in that they have strength to protect that which is good - including their own well being and good nature over time, and yet never be 
prone to evil if their conscience engages well in that they have 
been exposed to the right teachings to get them to act with what they know in their hearts to be the right way to be good and fair to others on the earth. 

Men who lack this good nature - especially if they have evil hearts will always need to be feared as a menace on the earth and it will take good men of strength and character and spirit to rid of them for the sake of all that wish to remain good and safe from such evil.
